Tomas Kral

In 2006, she graduated from Ecole Cantonale D'art De Lausanne (ECAL) and received her master's degrees in the same field in 2008 and in luxury design in 2009. In 2008, he founded his eponymous product design studio based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In the context of industrial production and research, Tomas Kral's approach to design is characterized by a very clear focus on materials and processes. Tomas Kral works in glass, cork and ceramics on products as diverse as lighting, furniture and accessories. Tomas Kral is inspired by tradition and infuses his objects with unexpected ideas, humor and freshness, often observing and experimenting with the work and know-how of craftsmen and manufacturers in order to generate new creative approaches and simple, creative solutions.

Tomas Kral has organized exhibitions in many museums and galleries. He has received many awards for his work, including the 'Leitz Innovation and Design Award', the 'Award of Excellence' at the 9th International Bicycle Design Competition and the 'Swiss Federal Design Award' in 2010.
